SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The proposal for a new hotel on lower State Street in Santa Barbara gained unanimous approval from the Santa Barbara Planning Commission on Thursday.
The proposed Harbor View Inn project is an annex to the existing hotel at the corner of State and Cabrillo Boulevard.
The hotel is proposed to be a three-story, 34-room hotel with 33 parking spaces at 101 State Street.
The project's plan also includes the demolition of an existing 714-square-foot laundry building that is currently being used by the Harbor View Hotel.
The next step for the hotel is to get the project design approved by the City's Historic Landmarks Commission.
