Carjacking in Salinas

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif.--Police are looking for two suspects involved in a reported carjacking Saturday evening.

The owner of a GMC Sierra truck told police he was standing near his vehicle around eight last night, as it warmed up in the 1100-block of Acosta St.

He says two Hispanic teens approached and one of the suspects got behind the wheel.  As the owner started towards the truck, the second suspect lifted his shirt and showed him the butt of a handgun.

Both suspects then drove off, heading eastbound towards Towt St. The victim said they wore all black clothing.  The vehicle was located unoccupied a short distance from where it was stolen. No arrests have been made.
