SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The owner of the Fremont Theatre tells Central Coast News the historic venue will reopen its doors on Valentine's Day.
Owner Bruce Sanborn says he has reached a deal with the landlord to keep open the theater for at least another year.
The landlords are going to host different events there, including weddings and concerts, until they figure out what they would like to ultimately do with the space. The Fremont Theatre was closed earlier this month because the lease for the building was up.
Movies will still be shown there on a regular basis, including the "SLO Rewind Series" which features classic films.
The first showings at the theater will be "Safe Haven" and "A Good Day To Die Hard" on Thursday night.
