Hardy Diagnostics announced the opening of its second manufacturing facility.  Located in Springboro, Ohio, the new production site allows Hardy Diagnostics to provide better service to its microbiology laboratory customers, especially those located on the East Coast. Springboro, Ohio is a suburb of Cincinnati and Dayton.

Hardy Diagnostics invested over $2 million in its state-of-the-art clean room facilities, which are slightly larger than the manufacturing facility in Santa Maria.

"We are now the only culture media manufacturer with ‘bi-coastal' production," said Jay Hardy, President of Hardy Diagnostics.  "The new operation in Ohio will strengthen our company by helping us generate more sales from the

Eastern U.S. In addition, we remain very pleased with the ‘business friendly' climate in both Springboro and the State of Ohio. We have been overwhelmed by the cooperative and welcoming spirit of the local officials." he said.

"This gives us a big advantage over our competitors," said Steve Jeanmougin, Corporate Controller for Hardy

Diagnostics.  "Prepared culture media is mostly water and that makes it heavy. The addition of the Ohio manufacturing operation helps us control our shipping costs and reduce our shipping times," he said.
