LOMPOC, Calif. -- Lompoc has a host of projects coming to town to attract much needed tourism to the "City of Arts and Flowers".
The city is prepping for its criterion race in June which will also take place on the same weekend as its famous "Festival of Flowers".
The mayor says the city will unveil its BMX Bike and Motorcross Park very soon and revamp its baseball field to attract athletes to the city.
"We're just re-turfing the baseball fields for little league so they'll be having tournaments here and of course, we put the timing systems in the aquatics center so there will be swim events so it's really exciting for bringing in more people."
The Lompoc Chamber of Commerce is also attracting business by offering a digital coupon book for customers to the downtown area.
