Armed Transient Arrested in Pismo Beach

PISMO BEACH, Calif. - A man armed with a gun ran across Highway 101 near Five Cities Drive, landing him behind bars on Monday afternoon.

Central Coast News obtained exclusive video when California Highway Patrol officers arrested 28-year-old Dustin Palmer, a transient from Grover Beach.

They say he was swerving on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach in a White Ford Taurus.  Palmer then allegedly jumped out of his car near Jack In The Box and ran across the highway.

Officers were able to locate him 30 minutes later and made the arrest. 

Upon investigation, officers found a gun and meth powder in Palmer's car.

Palmer was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on several felony charges.  He is being held on $75,000 dollars bail.
