INDUSTRY HILLS, Calif. - Gonzaga University's women's golf team took another stride toward its second straight Folino Invitational Monday with a second-round 304 for a 36-hole total of 607 and an 8-shot lead over UC Riverside heading into Tuesday's final round.

Freshman Raychelle Santos is also in position to win her second individual title in as many tournaments this spring as she trails Aram Choi of Portland State University by just one shot. Choi is at 147 after rounds of 75-72 while Santos stands at 148 after two rounds of 74 over the 6,067-yard, par 71 Babe Didrikson Zaharias Course at Industry Hills Golf Club. Santos is one shot ahead of Claudia Redinger of Stetson University and Savannah Vilaubi of UC Riverside.

Victoria Fallgren shot a 73 Monday to leave her tied for fifth at 150 and just three strokes off the leader and Han Wu shot 79 and is tied for 10th at 153 among the Bulldog leaders. Alice Kim shot a second-straight 78 for a 36-hole total of 156 and Angela DeVilla shot a 79 and is at 163. Tai Jade 'TJ' Kliebphipat who is playing as an individual, had an 86 Monday to take her out of medalist contention following an opening-round 74 which had her in a five-way tie for second entering Monday's round.

"We are happy to be in the lead group going into the final round, and that's always one of our goals," Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said. "Now we need to play better. We have to do a better job getting below the hole on our approach shots.

"Raychelle and Victoria played well today. We look forward to the challenge tomorrow," Rickel said.

Tuesday's third round will be a shotgun start.
