TIMELINE: Murder Investigation for Castroville Baby

TIMELINE OF EVENTS:

 
Feb 2nd - Angelle's mother, Susan Morales, is in another facility at the time and Baby Angelle is staying with her grandmother. Jesus "Jessie" Espinoza, Jr. allegedly called Angelle Negron's grandmother, Pompey Morales, and asks to pick up her up for a visit and the grandmother agrees.
 
Feb 3rd - Espinoza calls saying he would like to keep her three more days.
 
Feb 6th -  Espinoza's daughter calls Angelle's Grandmother and says they are taking Angelle to Disneyland, and will return on the 17th.
 
Feb 16th - Espinoza's daughter calls the grandmother again and tells her they didn't go to Disneyland, and she won't cover for her father.
 
Feb 17th - The Grandmother calls police just after 8 a.m. stating her granddaughter is missing.
 
Feb 18th - The search for Baby Angelle starts, police are at the scene where Espinoza lives in Castroville. Later in the evening Espinoza is arrested in Los Angeles at a public transit station.
 
Feb 19th - Angelle's body is found at Market and Davis Road overpass on the outskirts of Salinas.
 

Espinoza is now in Monterey county Jail on one million dollars bail. Law enforcement tells us Espinoza was cooperative in leading them to the body. Charges of suspicion of murder, child abduction and child endangerment were forwarded to the Monterey County District Attorney.
 
Espinoza was arrested in 2003 on DUI and Possession Charge. In 2005, he violated his probation from the 2003 charge, and was sentenced to jail for 365 days.
 
Angel's autopsy is expected to be performed Wednesday, February 20.
