PASO ROBLES, Calif. -- The Paso Robles police department announced that child abuse charges against 29-year old Herbert Brown have been changed to murder charges.
Police arrested Brown on child abuse charges on February 18th after responding to a call at the 200 block of Santa Ysabel Avenue about a child not breathing.
Officers said the two-year old toddler died from injuries and was pronounced dead at a Bay Area Hospital Tuesday night around 10:00 p.m. Police said as a result of the girl's death, the father, Herbert Brown will face murder and assault charges.
Police said an autopsy for the child is scheduled this week by the San Luis Obispo County Coroner.
