SOLVANG, Calif. - A 13-year-old runaway from Arroyo Grande led authorities on a wild high speed chase on Wednesday in a stolen car full of stolen items.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department says the pursuit started around 9:45pm on Mission and Alamo Pintado Road.
They say the teen was driving up to 100 miles per hour on Highway 246. Eventually, he lost control and crashed into a farm.
The teen and his 51-year-old female passenger both had minor injuries. Authorities still don't know how they knew each other.
Deputies found stolen property from the Morro Bay area and say that the car was stolen from there as well.
The teen was arrested and taken to juvenile hall and faces several felony charges.
