Victim of Deadly Rollover Crash on Highway 1 Identified

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Authorities have identified the victim in the deadly rollover car crash near Cuesta College on Sunday morning.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department says the victim was 17-year-old Briana Tucci of Encino.

Her mother tells Central Coast News that she was coming home from a trip to Big Sur with her friends and was not wearing a seatbelt. The car veered onto an embankment and rolled several times. Officials say she died from her injuries.

California Highway Patrol officials are still investigating the accident.

Meanwhile, funeral services will be held for her next Monday in Encino.
