PASO ROBLES, Calif. --
After 65 years, a family-owned restaurant
in Paso Robles is shutting its doors for good.
Wilson's Restaurant on 28th
Street was established in 1948 and has become a landmark for the community.
The diner is a part-down and
drive-in, famous for its all day breakfast menu.
Loyal customer, John Kern has
been eating at Wilson's since 1950.
"Well, it means to me, if you
want to sit down and see things that are my generation, you come here," says
Kern. "They have some of the best chicken fried steak and I came today and they
sold out!"
He says he's so sad Wilson's is
closing that he plans on stealing a menu and framing it.
