Police Arrest Car Thief Suspect in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - One man is behind bars for allegedly stealing several items and making a run for it when police saw him early Monday morning.

Police arrested 20-year-old Eduardo Murillo of Santa Barbara after a witness saw him stealing items from parked cars on the west side of town.

Authorities found him near San Andres Street and Pedregosa Street and when they tried to approach him, he ran off. When police caught up with him, they found him with meth and the stolen items.

Murillo was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on $25,000 bail.
