Multiple Law Enforcement agencies within Santa Cruz County responded immediately to the shooting.

The suspect, Jeremy Goulet, was located shortly after the initial shooting and was killed. We received reports that there was another shooting scene near the first one but police would not confirm that either. Witnesses say they heard 20 or more shots fired at the second scene.

Schools and business in the area were on lockdown and police told people to stay inside. Monterey County Sheriff's Office and Santa Clara County Law Enforcement assisted in getting those kids to a safe location.
