CARPINTERIA, Calif. - A high school youth pastor and hotel manager is accused of molesting and raping at least two young girls.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies say 28-year-old Louis Bristol worked as a high school youth pastor at the Carpinteria Community Church and used his position to lure young girls.
Bristol is accused of sending inappropriate pictures and text messages to at least two girls he met at church. Investigators say Bristol would take the girls at the Holiday Inn, where he worked as an assistant manager and would bring them into vacant rooms where he allegedly raped and molested them. For one of the victims, the abuse happened on more than one occasion, according to deputies.
Bristol is also accused of selling marijuana to his victims and others in the youth group. Sheriff's Detectives arrested Bristol Wednesday. Bristol is in Santa Barbara County Jail awaiting arraignment. His bail is set at 2 million dollars bail.
The crimes took place between late 2012 and early 2013.
