SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Splash Cafe is hoping to make a bigger splash in San Luis Obispo. One of the owners tells Central Coast News the chain plans to open a second location there.
Owner Joanne Currie says the new restaurant, which will be called "Splash Cafe Seafood and Grill" will open in the former spot for Mondeo's near Barnes and Noble.
Currie says each Splash Cafe location is slightly different, and this one will feature all of the signature items, including their clam chowder, but will also have lots of items fresh from the grill. She says the new restaurant will also offer breakfast.
Currie says the lease will officially be signed tomorrow. The restaurant is expected to be opened in mid-May.
This will be the restaurant's third location. The original Splash Cafe is located in Pismo Beach.
