Santa Barbara Surfer Wins Rincon Classic

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - A Santa Barbara native won the 30th annual Rincon Classic surf competition in Carpinteria this weekend.

The event drew in big crowds to the area as surfers caught the big swells.

Conner Coffin from Santa Barbara won the competition. He recently won the U.S. Junior Men's Surfing Championship last summer.

Rincon Classic officials say the competition is the oldest and most revered surfing contest in the Santa Barbara area.
