Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Dies

VENEZUELAN- According to Vice-President Nicolas Maduro, Hugo Chavez has died. Chavez was the president of Venezuela for 14 years.

Chavez was being treated for cancer and was only 58-years-old. He was a popular leader in his country as he launched "poverty-fighting programs, nationalized key industries and forged alliances with other leftist leaders in Latin America -- particularly the Castro brothers in Cuba," reports CBS News.
