Santa Barbara Criminal Courthouse Plans Stopped

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The plans to build a new criminal courthouse in Santa Barbara are now on hold because the California Judicial Council delayed 11 projects around the state.

The proposed criminal courthouse is going to be stuck in the design phase unless they get the green light when it comes to funding.

Santa Barbara Superior Court officials are looking to build a new eight-courtroom facility on land next to the Figueroa Street courthouse.
