Suspicious Templeton Death Result Of Accident

TEMPLETON, Calif. -- San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says suspicious death in Templeton was the result of an accident.

Deputies received a call reporting a man with a gunshot wound.

The Sheriff's Office responded to the 911 call with patrol deputies, detectives, coroner investigators, and a forensic specialist.

The victim was identified as 48-year-old Robert Hickey.

The investigation is ongoing but preliminary findings indicate Hickey's death was the result of an accident.

An autopsy is scheduled for next Thursday.
