CENTRAL COAST, Calif. -- Hundreds of bicyclists from across the country rode through Santa Barbara County Saturday for a good cause.
Bicyclists circled more than 100 miles through Lompoc, Santa Maria, Sisquoc and Solvang for children with heart disease.
Money raised will be donated to kids recovering from heart problems.
"There's only two or three camps that will allow children with heart problems to go to and we're supporting that," says bicyclists Chuck and Patricia Hanson.
Volunteers manned the Santa Maria rest stop which was set up at the Santa Maria Airport providing cyclists with food, drink, restrooms and even an on-site mechanic.
More than 5,000 cyclists attended the event.
The ride is one of California's oldest and most popular major bike rides for more than 25 years.
