SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif- Shocking testimony in the fourth day of the Dystiny Myers murder trial. A relative of Myers who was also a former inmate friend of Frank York took the stand.
It looks like written words from York could come back to haunt him. Thursday, damning letters from a nearby cell mate and the DA Investigator who copied his letters. "He said that they're prostituting her out of the residence, she was really high on drugs, and at one point she wanted to leave," said Damon Anderson, a relative of Myers and a former nearby cell mate of York.
The shocking testimony began on a "kite" or a letter inmates send to each other, from York to Anderson. "Said he beat her with a bat and once hit her with brass knuckle, they put her in a big duffel bag, stuffed her in the back of Rhonda's pick up truck and drove her out to Santa Margarita," said Anderson.
During cross examination the defense questioned the motive behind Anderson giving the letters to his attorney and whether or not he did so to reduce his sentence. "There is no possible way that had anything to do with that, I would not bargain on a little girls life," said Anderson.
Copied letters from York were also read by a DA Investigator. In the letters York talks about blaming his mother, Rhonda Wisto, for all the trouble he's in. The letters then tend to soften, where he writes Wisto poems, seemingly back on her side.
