SLO Sheriff's Department Holds First K9 Memorial Ceremony

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department held its first ever K9 memorial ceremony on Thursday morning.

The burial ceremony was held for K9 Jake, who served the department for 9 years.

The Department made him a final resting place near their office. The memorial is meant to be a tribute to him and other K9s who dedicate their lives to serve and protect.
