Madonna Inn Sells Out Concert But Gets Noise Complaints

Posted: Updated:
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- The Madonna Inn sold out a two thousand capacity concert Saturday night featuring the bad 'Rebelution' but San Luis Obispo neighbors complained about the noise.

The band played at the Madonna Expo until midnight and the inn received six noise complaint.

"We apologize," says Madonna Inn Real Estate Manager Clint Pearse. "We always have tried to be and will always try to be a community member and neighbor. We had a sold out crowd last night. It was a very successful concert, however, the music was much louder than we would've liked so we're going to correct that in the future."

Madonna Inn representatives say they had 20 to 30 security guards and hired off-duty sheriff's deputies to keep the concert under control.

They say concerts are a very small portion of what they host at the Inn and they usually turn down most concerts offering to come here.

Two more concerts are scheduled to play at the Inn for the bands 'Postal Service' and 'Modest Mouse'.

The Madonna Inn says it will make sure to keep the noise level down for those concerts.
