City of Morro Bay Selects 14 Year Veteran Firefighter For Fire Chief

MORRO BAY, Calif. - The City of Morro Bay has picked its new fire chief.

The City selected Steve Knuckles for the job. Knuckles most recently served a three-month term as Interim Fire Chief following former Chief Mike Pond's retirement.

Knuckles has been serving the Department for 14 years and has been involved in numerous projects and programs. He has over 30 years of experience working on the Central Coast, originally working in Atascadero.

He will officially be sworn in at the Morro Bay City Council meeting on April 23rd.
