SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A fourth suspect has been identified in the homicide of 28-year-old Anthony Ibarra of Santa Maria as Reyes Gonzales. The case is now eligible for the death penalty because of special allegations of torture.

Three suspects, 37-year-old Ramon Maldonado, 28-year-old Carmen Cardenas and 54-year-old Pedro Torres were all in court Wednesday for their first appearance. Cameras were not allowed inside the courtroom, and no pleas were entered.

42-year-old Reyes Gonzales was added as a suspect in the homicide investigation. Gonzales is already in Santa Barbara County Jail.

Maldonado was denied bail, and both Cardenas and Torres were granted bail over $600,000 a piece.

All four suspects will be in court Friday.
