ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - San Luis Obispo County sheriff's deputies have arrested 45-year-old Mary Alyson Bowdey on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Arroyo Grande.

Shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday, deputies received a 911 call from a young female who said that her parents were fighting at their home in the 400 block of Corralitos Road.

When deputies arrived, they discovered two people fighting at the residence.

After the sheriff's office conducted its investigation, Bowdey was arrested, taken to a local hospital and then booked into jail.

The male victim was treated for cuts at another hospital and later released.

Deputies say two children were in the home at the time of the incident but were not hurt. Both children are now in the custody of Child Welfare Services.
