SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has identified the motorcyclist in a deadly crash in Paso Robles this weekend.
Officials say 44-year-old Brian Smith of San Luis Obispo was killed on Sunday afternoon when he was trying to turn at 24th Street and Mountain Springs Road.
He struck a dirt berm, causing him to be ejected from the car. He was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital, where he later died.
Police say Smith was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. The accident is currently under investigation.
