NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global consulting company, North Highland, is pleased to announce that Fletcher Lance, vice president and national health care leader, has been selected as a member of the inaugural Nashville Health Care Council Fellows class. The Fellows initiative engages industry leaders in defining health care's greatest challenges while exploring new strategies for the future.
The 33-person class was selected by members of the Council Fellows Advisory Committee, which is led by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, M.D. "We set out to assemble a class whose intellect, experience, diversity and industry focus spanned the full spectrum of health care," said Frist, co-director of the Fellows. "These individuals have been pulled from the best and brightest our industry has to offer. They have a challenging task ahead and we look forward to their work."
"Our goal is to create a forum for thought leadership and guide the future of the health care industry in Nashville and around the country," said Ben Leedle, president and CEO of Healthways and chairman of the Council.
"I'm very fortunate to be part of this distinguished group of national leaders," said Lance. "I look forward to working with the community to develop a strategic approach and practical solutions to various challenges throughout the year."
Lance has more than 18 years of experience working in every segment of the industry including payer, provider, life sciences and government. He has also been instrumental in helping health care organizations transition to ICD-10 coding through developing North Highland's proprietary approach and corresponding data model called Codes That Matter?.
Deeply committed to the Nashville community, Lance was also elected to the Tennessee Department of Health's Board of Osteopathic Examination by the governor of Tennessee. Additionally, he has been involved with the Nashville Health Care Council since its inception.
