NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Search warrants released on Thursday show that authorities found guns, swords and several other weapons at the home of the gunman who carried out the Dec. 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., CBS News reports.
State's Attorney Stephen J. Sedensky III said Adam Lanza killed 26 people with a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle inside the school and took his own life with a Glock 10 mm handgun within five minutes of entering the school, according to CBS News. 20 of the 26 victims were children.
Investigators say they also located articles on other shootings, numerous paper targets, handwritten notes with addresses of local gun shops, and other evidence inside Lanza's home, CBS News reports.
