SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - In celebration of Earth Day, the city of Santa Barbara is hosting a free two-day electronics recycling event.
This event is open to all area residents and businesses. Workers will be at the event to unload items for residents.
The electronics recycling event will be held on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sears parking lot located at 3845 State Street.
Here are the items that will be accepted:
Televisions, computer monitors, computers (CPU's), laptops, keyboards, printers, mice, hard drives, fax machines, microwave ovens, DVD players, VCRs, cables and cords, telephones, cell phones, radios, shredders, stereo components, power supplies, all business and consumer electronic devices and more.
These items will not be accepted:
Large appliances, toner cartridges, fluorescent bulbs or batteries of any kind.
