GONZALES, Calif. -- Police said they arrested two 16-year old Gonzales High School students who they believe set the school gymnasium on fire.
The fire happened early in the morning on April 30th. Investigators said the fire caused over $1.5 million in damages.
Officers said they got information that the two suspects were involved which resulted in the suspects confessing to police about the arson.
Investigators said they used a search warrant at the homes of the suspects and found additional evidence that linked them to the gym fire.
Both suspects are being held at Monterey County Juvenile Hall on charges or arson, burglary and conspiracy.
