LOMPOC, Calif.- The Lompoc Police Department wants to remind residents about Fourth of July firework and block party regulations.
It is prohibited to light fireworks over another persons property, within ten feet of a residence or 100 feet of a fireworks booth and over public property, officers said.
Police are also reminding residents that it is prohibited to light fireworks except on July 4th between 9am and 10pm. It is also illegal to possess any fireworks past the date of sale, police say. Police say it is illegal to allow minors to light fireworks without permission.
Lompoc police are reminding residents that permits are required for block parties with street closures. For information about the street closure permit process contact the Lompoc Police Department street division or Sergeant Deanna Clement at 875-8109.
