YARNELL, AZ. -- Several firefighters were killed fighting a wildfire near Yarnell. On Sunday 19 men were killed when the fire caught them off guard and blew over them.
One of the victims killed was a Central Coast Native. Sean Misner, 26, grew up in Santa Ynez and graduated from Santa Ynez High School.
Other firefighters killed 25-year old William Warneke of Hemet, 21-year old Grant McKee of Orange County, 21-year old Kevin Woyjeck of Seal Beach and Chris Mackenzie of Hemet.
Officials say at least 50 homes have been destroyed. The Yarnell fire is being called one of the nation's deadliest incident for firefighters since September 11th, 2001.
CBS reports the Arizona Diamondbacks are asking fans to donate to charities.
Starting on Tuesday, fans will be able to donate at dbacks.com and each donation will be matched by the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation up to $100,000. A benefit raffle will also be hosted to raise money for the families of the tragedy.
