LOMPOC, Calif. -- Police responded to reports of a stabbing Monday night just after 10:00 p.m. Later three victims showed up at the hospital with injuries.
It happened along the 800 block of North "F, G" alley. The reporting party told police there was a large suspected gang fight involving several weapons. When officers arrived they found several people fleeing the scene in a car.
When police tried stopping the car, two Hispanic juveniles tried to flee. Police caught the two young men near a restaurant along the 600 block of North "H" Street.
A short time after the call came in about the fight, three stabbing victims showed up at the Lompoc Hospital Emergency room for their wounds. Two of the people who showed up with wounds were treated then released. The third was sent to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for more treatment and evaluations, according to police.
Investigators believe both incidents are connected. Police say the two juveniles arrested are associated in a criminal street gang and were booked into Santa Maria Juvenile Hall for participating in a street gang and several other charges.
Police are still continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call (805) 736-2341.
Officers say the names of the suspects and victims are not being released at this time. The names of the two men arrested are also being withheld because they are both minors.
