SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif- Officer apart of the the Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team served a search warrant and recovered approximately 25,000 Marijuana plants.
On Tuesday September 10, 2013 at approximately 0815 hours, members of the Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team (UNET), the San Benito County Sheriff's Office, the Morgan Hill Police Department and the California Department of Fish & Game conducted a Search Warrant service at a residence and its adjoining land in the 8000 block of Lover's Lane in Hollister, California (San Benito County).
As a result of the Search Warrant service, the five noted suspects were located, contacted and arrested after they ran from the residence upon law enforcement arrival. All subjects were arrested without further incident.
Law enforcement located and eradicated approximately 25,000 Marijuana plants, which were concealed in the rows of the legal crop upon the property. Three high powered pellet rifles were also taken as evidence. The approximate street value of Marijuana seized is $50,000,000.00 (25,000 plants X $2,000.00 potential per plant).
