SANTA CRUZ, Calif.-- A man was arrested in Santa Cruz Tuesday after police say he was caught filming unsuspecting young girls.
Santa Cruz police say 31-year-old Joshua Paul James had a record of stalking and filming young people after first being caught filming some student athletes while they were running near Santa Cruz High School on Monday.
After several other suspicious incidents involving James, police eventually arrested him for several charges including possessing child pornography and for stalking and filming young girls between the ages of 13-to-15 years old.
Police also issued a search warrant of James' home in the 300 block of Buena Vista Avenue and eventually found evidence of photography equipment, storage cards and computer equipment. Right now detectives are in the process of sifting through the hard drives in order to identify any victims.
If you have any information related to James or other suspicious activity in your neighborhood, you are urged to contact police immediately.
