Jean Mackenzie is one of the special people who donate their time and talents to Marian each day. She has heart-it-tude, as do all volunteers.
Retired from 35 years with the Federal Government and 5 years as an apartment manager, Jean has always been interested in medical care and wanted to do volunteer work.
So, in January 1992, she began volunteering at Marian and has since worked more than 15,000 hours. Jean works four days a week in pricing and merchandising for the gift shop and still finds time to include a half-day with the ECH, Escort Courier Hospitality, group.
"I enjoy working with the employees and volunteers," said Jean. "I have made so many friends and I feel appreciated. It's a wonderful feeling to be appreciated."
